finding peace and purpose through plants

Restorative Blooms
About me...
My name is Allie Cohen. I'm a certified Horticulture Therapist and have worked for over 10 years alongside seniors in Skilled Nursing, Memory Care, and Assisted Living. I earned a degree in Recreation Management from the University of New Hampshire, a certification in Horticulture Therapy from The New York Botanical Gardens, and completed the CT Master Gardener program. I started my career teaching preschool-age children and went on to work with neurodivergent youth in a school garden; allowing me to see firsthand how therapeutic connecting with nature is. I moved to San Francisco and began working within the senior community to provide activities and bring more engagement into their day to day lives. It brings me joy connecting with seniors and creating meaningful activities that benefit their quality of life.
I reside in Easton, CT with my husband, three children, three dogs, and our cat. I feel most at peace when doing yoga, out in nature, sitting by the fire, and drinking tea.
